We are going to have a field enhancement day Sunday April 25^th starting at 1:00pm.
This is for both players and parents.
We will be getting our dugouts in order, preparing the infield, cleaning out press box and concessions stands…etc.
Please bring a rake if you have one.  I encourage everyone to attend if possible to help clean-up go faster.

Also speaking of house cleaning I still need a couple registration forms completed and a copy of birth certificates from a couple of our players.
I be reaching out to these players by e-mail and hopefully you can bring these completed items to the field enhancement day when you come.

2010 North Liberty Babe Ruth Schedule

Weather permitting we are planning on having practice tonight starting at 6:00pm.  We will also have practice on Thursday 4/8/10 starting at 6pm.  So at this time our weekday practice schedule is as follows:

Practice at North Liberty Babe Ruth Diamond (next to Penn Elementary)

Monday’s – 6pm

Thursday – 6pm

Practices will be about 1 ½ hrs long based on how dark it gets.

We are also thinking about having a practice this Saturday 4/10/10 from 10am to Noon (especially if tonight’s practice gets rained out).  Please let us know how many will be able to make a Saturday practice.

Coaches meeting Friday March 27th at 7:00 PM at the North Liberty Rec Center. I have invited all the Parents that indicated they could Coach or assist with coaching to this meeting. We would like to have (1) head coach for each team and (2) assistant coaches. This meeting will be a great opportunity for you to ask questions and find out more about the Babe Ruth program. Mark your calendars for Saturday February 28th for the 2009 North Liberty Babe Ruth Baseball meeting. Registrations forms will be available at meeting which will start at the North Liberty Rec. Center on Saturday February 28th from 1:30-3:00 PM.

Player registrations will be accepted until March 20^th 2009. If you are unable to attend Saturday registration, additional registration forms will be available at the North Liberty & Coralville Rec. Centers or visit our website www.nlbr.org or e-mail at nlcbaberuth@yahoo.com

All Players will be supplied with Full Uniform (hat, shirt, pants, belt & socks) and a fun baseball team building experience.

North Liberty Babe Ruth registration began Saturday, February 7th, forms are available at the North Liberty & Coralville Community Centers or Click here 2009-nlbr-registration-form.doc to download the form.

Registration fees will be $125.00 and will continue through March 20^th. Any registration received after March 20^th will need to contact Jeff Brenner at 626-2606 or Jay Courtney 338-1478 for availability and may be required to pay a late fee of $25.00 in addition to the regular registration fee. Registration fees include the cost of the uniform (hat, pants, shirt, belt and socks), insurance, game expenses and certified Umpires.

All new players must have a copy of their birth certificate on file.   Please remember that Babe Ruth Baseball is a competitive league and, therefore, players are not guaranteed equal playing time.   

Please note that you must fill out a separate form and sign the release from liability statement for each player. You may write a single check for multiple players, but please make sure to note the check number on each registration form.
